More About Savanna
Why did you join MTN?
Believe it or not, I actually graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering! A funny string of events led me here, but ultimately, I ended up learning a lot about myself—especially my love for people and connecting them with the things they need or love. After getting some marketing exposure while working at a startup, I realized I wanted to make a career pivot. I was looking for something I could feel truly connected to and invested in every day, and marketing seemed to check all the right boxes.
A friend of mine kept talking about how much they enjoyed their work environment, and we eventually got to chatting more about it. One thing led to another, and I had the opportunity to interview—followed by an offer to join the MTN team!
What do you enjoy most about your position at MTN?
As an Account Coordinator, I’m in a position where I get to learn a lot while also being helpful to the team. I love that I’m able to explore this field and find crossovers with my engineering background—people really are like advanced, complex systems in their own way. The variation in tasks and areas of focus keeps me refreshed, stimulated, and eager to work. The team makes all the difference, too. It’s such a pleasure to be surrounded by people who are not only passionate about what they do, but also genuinely kind and collaborative.
What do you like about working hybrid?
Working hybrid is truly the best of both worlds! We still get to be social and connect with each other, while also enjoying the comfort of working from home and avoiding rush-hour traffic. Our team stays super engaged and interactive regardless of where we are, so it really feels like a win-win.
What are some of your hobbies?
I love going to the beach, hiking, and adventuring outdoors. I’m always down to travel and experience something new, especially when I need a little inspiration. Cooking is my jam—I love being creative in the kitchen and trying out new things. I also study herbalism and enjoy making teas, infused oils, and tinctures. I’m slowly learning to play the electric bass (emphasis on slowly, lol). And when it comes to nerding out, I’m a big fan of Magic: The Gathering—mostly sealed and draft events. If you know, you know.
What do you like most about living in Florida?
Having the beach so close by is easily my favorite thing about living in Florida. That, and the weather in April and November—it’s pretty hard to beat.
